20120102 Push Back the Release

In order to ensure a quality product, we've decided to push back the release of the new KryptonWare iConsole Web Player to Q1 2012. Among the specific technical reasons for this delay are our insistence that the NES APU not suffer from the same technical issues that other web-based emulation solutions suffer from. We'd also like to utilize this additional time to improve game compatibility. Current tests already indicate that some games that don't work in vNES do work in the iConsole Web Player, but we're striving for much higher compatibility than is currently available.

20110908 - Registration is CLOSED!

Welcome to KryptonWare’s early website opening. However we will keep registrations closed until 2012.

The purpose of opening the site early is for everyone to get a chance to choose from three different methods they can stay informed with updates. You can be the first to get your hands on the new iConsole (Web Player) on it’s release date.

Meanwhile, try out our new product called “Vonsole”. Vonsole is a Desktop Player using the new API to emulate your software file on your desktop. It can run on all modern operating systems (Linux, Mac, and Windows).

NES - Update 20110916 [Sep 16, 2011]

CPU emulation has achieved near-total accuracy. Two undocumented CPU instructions, unused in commercial games, do not pass Blargg's test suite. Presently, there is no consensus as to the exact behavior of the opcode, so any attempts to emulate these are estimations as to their function.
